Departure from Entebbe/Kampala & Transfer to Mgahinga After an early breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. Begin the long but scenic drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in southwestern Uganda. The journey is approximately 8-10 hours, with a stop for lunch en route. The drive offers stunning views of the Ugandan countryside. Arrive in the late afternoon/early evening near Mgahinga, check into your accommodation, and prepare for the next day's trek. |

Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga National Park After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for briefing by the park rangers. Embark on your unforgettable gorilla trekking experience. The trek can range from a few hours to a full day, depending on the location of the gorilla family. Spend a magical hour with the gorillas once you find them. After the trek, return to your lodge for relaxation. In the afternoon, you can opt for a Batwa cultural experience, learning about the traditions of this indigenous group who once lived in the forest. Dinner and overnight at your lodge. |

Golden Monkey Trekking & Transfer back to Entebbe/Kampala After breakfast, enjoy another trek, this time to see the endangered golden monkeys, which are also found in Mgahinga. This trek is generally shorter and easier than the gorilla trek. After the golden monkey trek, begin the long drive back to Entebbe or Kampala, arriving in the late evening, with drop-off at your preferred location or Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight. |
