Shoebill Tracking in Mabamba Swamp

Begin your exciting birding day with a very early morning pick-up (around 6:00 - 7:00 AM) from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. The early start increases your chances of spotting the elusive Shoebill Stork. Drive to the Mabamba Bay wetland system on the shores of Lake Victoria (approx. 1-1.5 hours from Entebbe, 2-3 hours from Kampala). Upon arrival at the landing site, you'll meet your local guide and board a motorized canoe. Spend 3-4 hours navigating through the narrow channels of the papyrus swamp, meticulously searching for the incredible **Shoebill Stork**. The swamp is also a haven for many other bird species, including the Malachite Kingfisher, African Jacana, Papyrus Gonolek, various egrets, herons, and more. After your unforgettable birding experience, return to the landing site for lunch (either packed or at a local eatery). In the afternoon, begin your drive back to Entebbe or Kampala, with drop-off at your preferred location or Entebbe International Airport.
