After an early breakfast at your lodge located near Kibale National Park, you will transfer to the **Kanyanchu Visitor Center** for a crucial briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Here, you'll learn about chimpanzee behavior, trekking rules, and safety guidelines. Then, embark on an unforgettable **Chimpanzee Trekking** experience deep into the lush tropical rainforest. Accompanied by experienced ranger guides, you will track one of the habituated chimpanzee communities, observing their fascinating behavior in their natural habitat. Once located, you will spend a magical hour with these intelligent primates, watching them feed, play, and interact. The trek duration can vary from 2 to 5 hours depending on the chimps' movements. After the trek, return for lunch. In the afternoon, you have the option to relax at your lodge or undertake a guided walk through the nearby **Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary**, a community-based eco-tourism initiative. This walk offers excellent opportunities for birdwatching (including the elusive Great Blue Turaco and Papyrus Gonolek) and spotting other primate species like red-tailed, L'Hoest's, and vervet monkeys.
