The journey will take you through diverse landscapes, including the lush Kigezi highlands, often referred to as the 'Switzerland of Africa.' You will have a stop for lunch en route. Arrive at Lake Bunyonyi in the late afternoon or early evening. Check into your chosen lakeside accommodation, enjoy dinner, and settle in for the night amidst the tranquil beauty of the lake, preparing for the next day's activities.

Lake Bunyonyi Canoe Trek & Return to Entebbe/Kampala

After an early breakfast, embark on the highlight of your tour: a guided **canoe trek** across the serene waters of Lake Bunyonyi. Paddle or be paddled in a traditional dugout canoe, exploring some of the lake's 29 islands. Your local guide will share fascinating stories, including the poignant history of Punishment Island (Akampene) and learn about the local legends and culture from your guide. Enjoy the incredible birdlife (Bunyonyi means 'place of many small birds') and the breathtaking terraced hillsides that characterize the lake's surroundings. After the canoe trek, return to your lodge for check-out and lunch. In the afternoon, begin the long drive back to Entebbe or Kampala (approximately 8-10 hours), arriving in the late evening or night. You will be dropped off at your preferred location or Entebbe International Airport for your onward journey.
